Sunny Deol (born Ajay Singh Deol, 19 October 1957) is an Indian film performer, executive and maker known for his works solely, in Hindi silver screen. He is the child of veteran performer Dharmendra, and the senior sibling of on-screen character Bobby Deol and Esha Deol. In a movie profession crossing more than thirty years, Deol has won two National Film Awards, and two Filmfare Awards. Deol made his debut in the film Betaab for which he was named for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was the biggest hit of his film career. His recent movie was Big Brother : Every Family has a Hero (2007). His fans have crowned him “the Action King of Bollywood”. Apart from being an actor he is also a director and directed the film Dillagi. He even starred in the film with his younger brother Bobby Deol and Urmila Matondkar. The film couldn’t do well on the box Office but Sunny received accolades for his directorial skills.
